Erin was introduced to ballet at The American School in Paris, France when she was six years old. Upon her family’s return to the United States, Erin continued her pursuit of dance in her hometown of Friendswood, Texas. She trained at Friendswood Ballet for several years and in High School she studied at the Bonnie Siscoe School of Dance. Erin went on to become a member of the National Champion Friendswood High School Wranglerette dance team where she served as an officer during her senior year. From 2005-2007 Erin performed as a member of the World Famous Kilgore College Rangerettes, a highly prestigious and nationally-acclaimed drill team. As a Rangerette, Erin traveled extensively and danced in performances in the State Street Thanksgiving Day Parade in Chicago, Illinois, at Dallas Cowboys football games, aboard cruise ships and in the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic, as well as many other venues.
For three years, Erin has been a staff member for Danceline Productions USA, a company that offers specialty choreography and leadership camps for dance teams. Throughout her time on the Danceline staff, Erin has had the opportunity to choreograph, instruct, and deliver leadership training seminars to high school dancers from across the state of Texas and beyond.
In addition to her love of dance, Erin has a passion for musical theatre. In high school, Erin danced and sang in several Tommy Tune award-winning musicals such as The Pajama Game and Guys and Dolls and performed leading roles in Annie Get Your Gun and Good News!. Erin is a former member of the United Players community theatre troupe near Houston and has performed in its productions of Brigadoon, The Fiddler on the Roof¸ Children of Eden, Broadway Sounds (a musical revue), and more.
In August 2009, Erin graduated from the University of North Texas with a B.A. in International Studies with minors in French and Arabic. She has been fortunate enough to travel abroad on several occasions to locales such as India and Nepal, where she spent time working in an orphanage. Most recently, during the summer of 2009, she traveled to Morocco to study at the Arab American Language Institute. Additionally, Erin’s work experience has reflected her interests in international relations. She completed an internship with The World Affairs Council of Dallas/Ft. Worth (WAC), during which she corresponded with the State Department requesting that international dignitaries, ambassadors, politicians, and authors attend WAC events in the metroplex. During her time with WAC, Erin had the privilege of meeting the Egyptian Ambassador, the former American Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, and others. Erin has also spent time working for Cultural Awareness International, a company that provides relocation services to displaced immigrants and members of the business community as they prepare for moves abroad.
While pursuing her degree at UNT, Erin continued her dance education by training in Modern, Jazz, and Ballet at the university. She performed several pieces in the university’s Fall and Spring New Choreographer’s Concerts. Erin received formal training in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Lyrical, Musical Theatre and High Kick and she has a particular ardor for Lyrical, Jazz and Contemporary.
Her most recent claim to fame is performing in the original dance/.drama, The Weaving in New York City’s Alice Tully at Lincoln Center in June, 2010.
